wear them if your wrist hurt easy..... i wait till i've jammed it to wear mine. ALSO take the piece of plastic out of the back it give you more flex wich is better. trust me it is. the palm piece is the key to protecting the wrist....
i broke a wrist a few years back and i pretty sure it could have been avoided if i was wearing guards.I swear by them.Now if they could only invent something that would protect your collar bone.I broke that last week cycling into work.OUCH!

Pads are not for pussies. Pads are people with jobs! I dunno about you guys, but I cannot afford to miss work because I fell on a skateboard.

I wear wrist guards and have since I started skating last year after I got tired of the bruises on my palms. I fall a lot and they absorb the impact and help prevent injury. I'm pretty good at falling, and fall from high points in the bowls sometime…

A LOT!
My wrist were always sprained, even though I always wear wrist guards. I even break the splints. Triple8, TSG, ProTec, 187, it didn't matter what brand, the splints never lasted more than 2-3 months before I'd fall & break one.

Dan, I also have experienced a radius injury. My elbow was dislocated and the radial head was shattered in 20+ pieces. It happened when I was slalom racing, fell and my elbow was caught between the ground and the road.

- Following the magazines Ty Page was bad ass, till the edgier dudes like Alva and Adams starting looking kick ass. But really it was daily skating with friends (mostly while living overseas as a military brat) friends who constantly pushed each other to learn something else less you get called a pussy. Pussy.
