Hi Eric - nice cars! What a trip to cruise around in those babies. Hope you had a good rest of 2008 - and best wishes to you in 09. I'm not snowboard racing this winter - body needs a break to heal up...bank account too, but I plan to really hit it on the skate next summer. Hood for sure - and Ditch Slap is high on the list! Later sk8r...peace.

1980ish on borrowed Alva, but my first board was '85

My top three skateboarding influences:
Riding that Alva years ago made me an "Alva guy" through the late 80's and thats mostly all I rode then. I never even heard of Dogtown until the documentary came out but I too was somehow heavily influenced for many of my early years.
It was a quote from a Jason Mitchel interview that inspired me to get my butt to my first slalom race at Hood River in '06 and he is always one of my favorite racers to see ride. Now video could ever do justice compared to seeing him blaze down a GS course in person.
And every other skater who all to often hears "aren't you to old to be skateboarding" and say foooey on that and SKATES regardless of the perception that skating is just for kids.
What was your first skateboard?
JFA Don Lincoln w/ Stage 3 Indy 169's and I think some Sims wheels but its been too long to be sure.
What skate mags do you read?
Concrete Wave, Juice
Are you sponsored? If so, please list your sponsors.
Huge thanks to Folliage Printing and Apparel and the Lost Surf Shack in Fort Bragg, CA
