I have never really been really excited to get a package in the mail till today.
I ordered a new Siesmic Meg Board complete and from the photos of the board on the Seismic web site the graphics looked great on the board pictured on the site. Being a artist also that was one reason to buy it. But the real reason was to get to try out the Siesmic trucks. I have probley rode on or owned every truck from the 1970's to present. You name them I have rode them, or tried them out at a contest. The trucks start at crap black Knight trucks to Chicago's to ill designed Mattel magnum, ACS, Bennett's, lasers, Gull wing split axles, Indys, trackers, thunders, gullwings, Cutters and even the power paw speed spring. I love the Seismic trucks they feel like I am surfing and perform with no wobble and are skateable right out of the box I weigh about 180 to 190 right now. I don't own a scale so I weigh myself when I visit my parents. I ordered extra springs thinking I might need them but I skate loose truck compared to most skaters. The board is a awesome shape and slight concave and a composite board of wood and fiber glass. With graphics second to none I have ever seen on skateboard deck. It is functional work of art that preformed great on my 8 mile ride down highway 101 from Luecadia to Delmar in the bike lane today.I was to tired to skate back so I caught the bus up to Lou's records across the street from my house.
The Siesmic Hot spot wheels preform great also compared to my 3dm avalon and Cambria's.
I like the size they run right over the little rocks in the road that would throw you down.
Over all Daniel did a great job on this complete board it Pumpable,Skogable and stable surfing like turns I have never felt on a board before.
The reason I said I was getting back to basics is this is how started when I was 10 years old. I used the skateboard for transportation and every ride was a adventure back then and has always been when street skating it is one of the purest from of skateboarding that you will experience.
Just you and the open road or side walk turning small turns and enjoying the ride.
