Skateboarder's Journal

We have a winning answer! The winner's name will be announced when I receive their real
name.

Clue #1 Wheels are hidden in a place that has it's own name, but it is not the name of a
city.
The hiding place is a surf spot.

Clue #2: A Free Ride will "show" you the way.
"Free Ride" a 1970's surfing movie.

Clue #3: Free Ride...as "not" seen on your TV.
The filmmaker always thought that the film should be seen on the big screen and according to "The Encyclopedia of Surfing" it was never released on video.

Clue #4: You may want to "surf" the web to discover another Free Ride.
This clue was to point you to the film once again.

Clue #5: Now that you are on the Free Ride, all you need is some "direction" to the spot.
Direction referred to the film's director Bill Delaney.

Clue #6: Born in the 1940s, this "director" will "point" the way to the Free Rides.
Another nudge to Bill Delaney. "Point" was a reference to the point break near Delaney's
hometown of Santa Barbara, California.

Clue #7: From his hometown, he could have easily spent his days at this "royal" spot.
The wheels were hidden at the famed surfing break known as Rincon, which is also known as "The Queen of The Coast", hence the "royal spot" clue.

Thanks for playing, stay tuned for more contests.

All the best,
Jack
